Founded in 1983, the non-profit health and social organisation provides supported housing and support services for people facing substance use problems, mental health rehabilitation or homelessness. With about 20 staff, it supplies services to the North Savo wellbeing services county.
One housing community has ten flats for middle-aged and older men and offers daytime meals. Sateenkaaritalo has eight supported flats. Full abstinence is not required, although reducing substance use is a goal. Low-threshold activities, volunteering and education partnerships with placements are also available.
