Operating since 1983, this non-profit association runs a learning organisation with three units. Its summer university is a statutory liberal adult education institution, while Isoverstas promotes digital development and cooperation between educational institutions.
The office is based at Savonia University of Applied Sciences. Online resources include a publication archive, bookshop and open source portal for the collected works of J. V. Snellman. A scientific advisory committee contributes ideas for its activities.
