Marked with green linden-leaf signs, the 13 km nature trail loops roughly two kilometres from the market square. It passes the harbour, 12 concrete sculptures by Olavi Lanu in the woodland of Lanupuisto, and the Mustankallionmäki viewpoint overlooking the centre and ski jumps. Other sights include Eliel Saarinen's city hall, Radiomäki hill and the Mastola Radio and TV Museum.
The route also takes in the sports centre's ski jumps, the Ski Museum and the large hill's viewing platform, open daily in summer. The Salpausselkä ridge section includes glacial kettle holes such as Häränsilmän lampi. The walk ends in Pikku-Vesijärvi park, where the Vesiurut musical fountain performs in summer.
