Founded in 1988, the music and dance institution offers basic arts education. Music studies cover instruments, singing, classical music, pop and jazz, rhythm music and band instruments, plus children's groups and choirs. Dance studies progress through defined levels.
Run by a supporting association, it arranges music camps and ensembles from chamber groups to larger orchestras. Concerts use venues including Kalevi Aho Hall. The entrance and parking are wheelchair accessible.
