The restaurant occupies warehouses built in 1881 on the riverbank beside the market square. Seasonal menus change through the year, with classic international dishes made from Finnish ingredients: game such as reindeer and duck, and fish from Finnish waters. Three-course set menus and a tasting-style menu are offered, and the wine list runs to about a hundred wines, from sparkling to fortified.
There are two dining rooms, the Hirsisali (log room) and the Sininen sali (blue room). For same-day bookings, phone is recommended, and email reservations need confirmation. According to its website, the premises are not wheelchair accessible.
