The restaurant serves Finnish food made from local, domestic ingredients that change with the seasons. The menu focuses on the food culture of northern Ostrobothnia, with northern dishes such as reindeer and Arctic char. The salmon comes from Norway's Arctic Ocean, other meat and fish are Finnish, and the potatoes, root vegetables and vegetables are sourced locally. The building has stood on its current site for at least 150 years.
It seats about 150 guests over two floors, with long tables for large groups. Tables can be reserved, and larger groups are asked to announce their arrival. Special diets can be catered for in most dishes on request, and gift cards are available. The seating, car park, entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
