For patients and their relatives, the support point offers face-to-face contact, professional and volunteer support, and information about peer support and patient organisations. Estery runs the service through cooperation between the South Savo wellbeing services county and organisations.
It is in the main lobby of the social and health centre. Volunteers wear green vests marked 'vapaaehtoinen' and sign a confidentiality agreement. Training includes a certificate, and tasks can reflect volunteers' interests. Associations, students and hospital units can hold events here. Accessible parking and an accessible toilet are available.
