Founded in 1956, the local lung association provides activities for people with respiratory conditions and their relatives. Groups offer breathing exercise, chair yoga and boccia, with a sleep apnoea peer group and an activity-based peer club.
New participants can attend without advance registration. Members can buy club-made crafts and respiratory products such as PEF meters, nasal irrigation supplies and breathing masks. The association also advocates for better care, services and living environments.
