The open kitchen has a Bertha charcoal oven, and the food draws on Mexico, Eastern Europe, the Mediterranean and the Alps. The breads are organic sourdoughs baked in-house, and the pasta is sourdough too, said to be the first of its kind in Finland. Ice cream is made in-house as well. Nearly 70% of the raw ingredients are organic, and the restaurant won the Finnish organic championship (Luomu SM) in 2020 and 2022 for the biggest organic growth among restaurants.
All food is lactose-free, dietary needs are accommodated, and gluten-free bread is baked in-house. The drinks list has beer and organic wines. Book a table online or by phone; groups of ten or more enquire by e-mail or form. The restaurant also runs cooking courses and private events, and gift cards are sold in its online shop. It is inside the Simolin department store, and the seating, entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
