Established in 1996, this non-profit foundation works to preserve buildings of cultural and architectural value in eastern Uusimaa. In 2016 it merged with an old town preservation foundation established in 1972. An old town working group has operated since 2017.
Its building advisor, a SAFA architect, provides renovation advice mainly by phone and also on site. Topics include traditional construction methods such as log work and surface treatments. The foundation also holds an annual European Heritage Days event in its area.
