This is the official Santa Claus post office at the Arctic Circle, part of the Finnish Post Network. At the log-built visitor attraction, postal elves sort and present the letters sent to Santa. It receives almost 25 million letters from about 200 countries, and almost 30,000 letters a day in the busiest holiday season. Visitors can order a letter from Santa and get the Arctic Circle postmark, available only at the Arctic Circle.
It is in Santa Claus Village, and local bus number 8 runs there from the city centre. The operation follows a sustainability programme. The car park and entrance are wheelchair accessible.
