This Santa Claus village sits on the Arctic Circle and is open all year, with Santa Claus himself to meet every day. The Arctic Circle line runs through the central square, and visitors can step across it. The village has elves, shops, cafés and restaurants, and accommodation from cottages and suites to an igloo hotel with 71 glass-roofed igloos. In winter you can go on husky sleigh rides. The Roosevelt cabin was built in 1950 for a visit by Eleanor Roosevelt and is the village's historic starting point.
The post office sells postcards and stamps with special Arctic Circle postmarks. Ravintola Gallis serves classic dishes made with local ingredients, Loft Cafe offers coffee and pastries, and Santa's Foodmarket sells fresh local delicacies and everyday groceries. The Marttiini shop sells knives. Nine companies in the village hold Sustainable Travel Finland certification. The car park, entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
