The Arctic Circle line runs through Santa Claus Village and is marked on the central square. Visitors can cross it and receive a certificate. The oldest building in the area is the Roosevelt Cottage, built in 1950 in under two weeks to honour Eleanor Roosevelt's visit, after UNRRA aid for post-war reconstruction was announced. Its original visitors' books carry the names of several heads of state and dignitaries.
The area also has SnowHotel's snow sauna, Glass Resort apartments, a Snow Restaurant and Ice Bar, and Bearhill Husky rides. Snowmobile safaris are run by Snowmobile Park, and Apukka Adventures offers autumn and winter activities. The car park, entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
