The tourist information office is in the main building of Santa Claus Village, about 8 km north of the city centre. It provides maps and brochures on Lapland destinations, along with recommendations and a booking service for activities in places such as Kemi, Saariselkä and Ivalo. Arctic Circle Crossing Certificates are issued in several languages, in two designs.
Souvenirs and postcards are on sale, and Global Blue tax-free refunds are available. Guide services and tailor-made programmes can be arranged for individuals and groups. The office holds Biosphere certification and the Sustainable Travel Finland label from Visit Finland. Local bus 8 and the Santa's Express bus run here. The car park, entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
