This traditional bakery shop and café in Tampere is housed in the historic cowshed of Niemi Manor (Niemen kartano). It sells cakes, pastries, fresh breads including sourdough, and buns, made with Finnish ingredients. Cake flavours include strawberry, white chocolate and chocolate crumble.
On weekdays a soup that changes daily is served for lunch, to eat in or take away. Celebration cakes and pastries can be ordered by phone and collected ready-packed from the shop. There is seating indoors and on a shaded terrace, and high chairs are available. The entrance, seating and toilet are wheelchair accessible, parking is free and tables cannot be reserved. A visit usually takes 10 to 45 minutes.
