This Tampere primary school stands on the Pispala ridge in an old working-class district, and the area's cultural heritage is taken into account in teaching. About 250 pupils study in grades 1 to 6, and the pre-primary groups are called Pihlajat (Rowans) and Vaahterat (Maples). Pupils interested in music can follow a music-focused curriculum.
The four-storey building has a lift with automatic doors that fits a wheelchair, a wheelchair lift and an accessible toilet on floor 1. Five accessible parking spaces lie within 10 m of the entrance along a level, wide and lit route. The main door opens with an access key, and the entrance lobby is narrow. The website is in Finnish and English.
