On the bank of the Tammerkoski rapids, this Tampere museum centre brings together more than ten exhibitions on a single ticket, covering ice hockey, games, the postal service and natural history alongside the Pirkanmaa Provincial Museum, a photo archive and a reference library. It is run by the City of Tampere.
Allow one to three hours. Admission is charged, and the Museokortti (Finland's Museum Card) is accepted. The Valssi restaurant serves meals, the shop sells souvenirs, and guided tours, school visits and venue hire can be arranged. The entrance, seating and toilets are accessible, there is a baby changing table and Wi-Fi, and parking is free.
