This Turku spot sells New York-style pizza by the slice, given its own twist. The idea came from a trip abroad in 2022, and the recipe was developed in a garage over about three years, with 300 test doughs. About half the flour is local organic grain that the company mills itself, and the pizzas are baked in a three-chamber oven of about 700 kg brought from Umeå. According to the website, the first Hesburger opened in these premises in 1980.
Slices are ordered at the counter to eat in or take away. Beer and wine are served, and there are vegetarian options. It is suitable for families with children, the entrance and toilets are wheelchair accessible, and there is a paid car park.
