Set in a historic building on Ruissalo island in Turku that once housed a seaplane station, this restaurant was formerly known as Ruissalon Maininki and now honours architect Alexander Nyström, whose plans shaped the city. The idea is 'eat local, think global': ingredients come from local producers, with influences from Mauritius, Ireland and Asian cities.
Next to the kitchen, the Chef's Table serves a tasting menu celebrating Finnish food culture, by advance reservation only through SevenRooms. Catering is also available. The Aura 1 river taxi runs from Turku to the restaurant. The car park, entrance and toilet are wheelchair accessible.
