This Finnish Red Cross district has its office in Turku and helps people in the Åboland archipelago and abroad. Friendship activities ease loneliness, first aid groups train regularly around the archipelago, and food aid is shared together with local shops, schools and restaurants. The district also supports recent immigrants and refugees, mainly in Parainen and Dalsbruk.
The office is open whenever staff are present, so call ahead to arrange a meeting. First aid groups are free to join and need no previous experience. Donations can be made online, by text message, via MobilePay, as a monthly gift or through a bequest.
