This non-profit association supports young adults and people over 65 in Turku and the surrounding area, and works to develop social services and community life. Its history goes back to 1880, and today more than 200 active volunteers take part. Young adults get help with becoming independent, with studies and job seeking through the Omakoutsi coaching scheme, and with housing, while older people are supported through major life changes.
Lähitori Iso-Heikki is its community space, with events and weekly get-togethers, and there is a Laulusalonki singing group for over-65s. Through the website you can ask for support, volunteer, become a member or donate.
