The child welfare family home has operated in the same premises since 2014, with the present foster parents in charge since 2022. One is a nurse experienced in paediatric nursing and residential child welfare; the other is a social services graduate with experience leading children's sports groups. Both have completed PRIDE foster parent training.
Each child has a private room and a say in its decoration. There is space for hobbies and shared activities, and a cairn terrier and two cats live in the home. The primary school and daycare are about 500 metres away, with central services and hobbies a couple of kilometres away. Safety has been considered in the property.
You can share your experience of cooperation with the family home in the comments to help other families.
