The sea scout group uses M/s Krista as its training vessel, acquired in 1972. Built in Germany in 1950 as a North Sea trawler, the oak-and-fibreglass vessel is 18 metres long, six metres wide and draws 2.4 metres.
It has 29 berths and a sauna and is certified as a domestic passenger vessel for up to 50 people. Navigation training uses radar, a Furuno Navnet 3D system and electronic charts. Its AIS transmitter allows the vessel's movements to be followed online.
