Volunteer sea rescuers assist boaters in the northern Archipelago Sea and southern Bothnian Sea with breakdowns, fuel shortages and groundings. The association has around 600 members, including about 25 operational volunteers who also train for serious emergencies.
The Trossi membership service includes towing to the nearest port with repair services and help finding temporary boat storage. A support group helps organise public events.
