Founded in 1959, the local association supports children, young people and low-income families. It runs the Kaarikoto small group home and supports children's hobbies and young people's schooling according to need and available funds. It also takes part in national Save the Children projects supporting education and collecting children's views.
The association is volunteer-run and welcomes members and volunteers. It works with other local organisations and holds an event for Children's Rights Day. The entrance is not wheelchair accessible.
