The local member association of the Finnish Disability Association promotes equal participation for people with physical disabilities or functional limitations and represents members' interests. Membership is also open to people with rare diseases, relatives and others interested in its work.
The association runs the Leponiemi site, with summer opening events and work parties. Events are also organised with the disability council and city, and an annual general meeting is held in autumn.
