Run by the City of Vantaa, this is one of Finland's largest music schools, with nearly 2,000 students. Instrument and singing lessons, individual or in groups, follow the national curriculum for basic education in the arts, with early years music for ages 0–6 and musical skills training for ages 7–9. There are also music theatre, choirs and vocal ensembles. Some 150–200 concerts are held each academic year, from student recitals to symphony concerts at Martinussali.
Open courses take enrolments all year round, whatever your age or home municipality. Studies are fee-based, and first-year instruments can be rented. Teaching is also available in Swedish. The entrance and car park are accessible.
