The main station of the East Uusimaa Police Department is in Vantaa, next door to the National Bureau of Investigation. It handles passports and ID cards, including temporary passports, security-sector, weapon and other permits, police reports, lost property and copies of case documents.
Service is mainly by appointment; walk-ins are possible but may have to queue. Lost property is dealt with at the information desk by queue number, without an appointment. Weapons can be presented only by appointment on Mondays, and inspections use a separate entrance (door 4). Customer parking is limited, so public transport is recommended. A visit usually takes 15 minutes to an hour.
