Founded in 1898, the association represents the economic and social interests of painting businesses. It has around 50 member contractors. Its shared activities are documented in the centenary history Vuosisata näkyvää jälkeä, published in 1998.
The website lists a membership application, member companies, partners and benefits. It also presents a painters' museum, vocational school, women's section and the Tela bowling club with contact people.
