Founded in 1997, the politically and religiously non-aligned association develops volunteering, civic activity and opportunities to participate. Its multicultural work serves groups including families, young people, unemployed people, immigrants and older residents.
Activities include the Ukkonen men's space, Duunaamo youth workshop, OLKA activities, Keskustalo community house and Kaarisilta multicultural meeting place. The premises have a wheelchair-accessible entrance but no accessible parking, accessible toilet or hearing loop.
