The main building of Helsinki's city theatre was completed in 1967 and houses its large and small stages. The repertoire spans plays, musicals, dance, children's theatre and comedy. The theatre also runs the Arena stage, the Swedish-language Lilla Teatern and Studio Pasila, a venue devoted to stand-up comedy.
Tickets are sold online through Lippu.fi and at the box office in the building, and group sales are handled by phone. There is a hearing loop, and the entrance, some seating, parking and toilets are accessible. The building has a restaurant and wifi, and cards and mobile payments are accepted. Guided backstage tours are held, including tours for wheelchair users.
