This Helsinki gym keeps to traditional training, with free weights and basic lifts at the centre. It has been running since the 1970s and at its present site for more than 20 years: a former air-raid shelter hewn into the rock next to Temppeliaukio Church, built during the Interim Peace. The equipment covers the basics, and training programmes are posted on the noticeboard.
Members get in with a key card, there is no costly membership commitment, and members pay for what they train. Common payment cards and employee sports benefits are accepted. A personal trainer is available on request, and bicycles can be parked inside the shelter. The entrance and parking are not wheelchair accessible.
