The band school was founded in 1990 and, according to its website, is Finland's most experienced band school. Band lessons are offered to all ages, from beginners to advanced players, on guitar, bass, vocals, keyboards and drums. Private lessons cover electric guitar, bass, piano and keyboards, pop and jazz singing, and drums, along with music production and electronic music.
The Band Workshop is a playful group introduction to rhythm music for 6 to 8 year olds, lasting up to two years. Adults can study various music subjects, whether learning for the first time or returning to playing. Music technology courses cover recording, mixing, music production and the basics of live sound, and electronic music production courses are offered as group courses and private lessons. Distance lessons are available, and the online shop sells single lessons and packages of 3 or 5 lessons.
