This City of Helsinki day care centre is in a spacious building that also includes the Ida playground. Children are divided into five 'home nests' with 5–6 early childhood professionals. There are separate groups for 1–2-year-olds and 3–5-year-olds, named Altot, Sopraanot and Spotit. The focus is on play and interaction, equality and fairness, and emotional and friendship skills, using positive pedagogy and recognising children's strengths.
It is easy to reach by public transport, and the entrance is step-free. Activities are in Finnish, and application guidance and fees are on the city's website.
