Founded by a group of young expats from around the world, this Helsinki restaurant cooks over an open fire, drawing on Asian and Middle Eastern cuisines and on the unpretentious food and wine culture of Southern Europe. The menu follows the seasons, and the wine list focuses on artisanal wines from small producers who promote responsible farming.
The mood is relaxed rather than formal. Groups of up to six can book online, larger groups get in touch by email, and a few tables are kept for walk-ins every day. There are also desserts, cocktails and vegetarian and vegan options. A visit usually lasts 1.5–3 hours, and there is no takeaway.
