This City of Helsinki psychiatric unit provides specialist research, treatment and rehabilitation. It has wards for psychiatric emergency care, mood disorders, and psychosis treatment and rehabilitation, and offers outpatient care alongside round-the-clock inpatient care. The building also houses city outpatient psychiatric units, such as a bipolar disorder research and treatment centre, as well as HUS units.
Patients come on a doctor's referral or, in urgent cases, from the Malmi or Haartman emergency departments. Services are available in Finnish and Swedish. There are parking spaces in the emergency ward courtyard, and drop-off is possible within five metres of the entrance.
