This Helsinki university hospital provides childbirth care and specialist gynaecological care. It treats the most difficult high-risk pregnancies and very preterm births in the Uusimaa region and houses the Saari neonatal intensive care unit. There are two birth units, Luotsi and Aallokko, along with a family suite hotel, gynaecology outpatient clinics and the Seri support centre for victims of sexual violence aged over 16.
The emergency unit serves pregnant women, mothers after childbirth and gynaecology patients. Ultrasound, mammography and MRI scans are by appointment. Visiting hours vary by unit, and the building is smoke-free. There is accessible parking and a step-free entrance.
