This unit of HUS, the Helsinki University Hospital, is on the Meilahti medical campus in Helsinki. Among other services it houses the fetal examination unit, which examines and treats expectant mothers whose baby has an abnormality found on an ultrasound scan. As it is a teaching hospital, students may take part in care with the patient's permission, and declining does not affect treatment.
Visiting hours are set by each unit, and some units do not allow visitors. The building is smoke-free and follows safer-space principles. The entrance and parking area are wheelchair accessible, and cards are accepted. The HUS website has information in Finnish, Swedish and English.
