This HUS surgical unit in the Meilahti hospital area of Helsinki treats adults who come for an operation or other surgical care; it is not an emergency hospital. Specialities include plastic, breast, venous and hand surgery and oral and maxillofacial care. The building also houses the national cleft lip and palate clinics (HUSUKE) and an evening and weekend dental emergency service.
Patients come by referral and appointment, through the A entrance. There is a café on the 2nd floor of the main lobby and a lunch restaurant on the T floor. Some units do not allow visitors, and the site is smoke-free. The entrance and parking area are wheelchair accessible.
