This Helsinki neighbourhood restaurant has been open since 1984 and describes itself as one of the oldest of its kind in the city. The idea is honest food and relaxed service: lunch on weekdays, a dinner menu and drinks list in the evening, and themed weeks through the year, such as steak and schnitzel weeks and game weeks.
There is room for nearly 200 diners. Booking is not required, but larger groups are advised to book online, and groups have their own set menus. Catering is also offered. Linnanmäki amusement park, Ryhmäteatteri and Kulttuuritalo are close by, and before a show it is worth allowing about two and a half hours for dinner. The entrance and toilet are accessible.
