Martat is a Finnish civic organisation that promotes home and family wellbeing and appreciation of household skills. It operates nationwide, with associations and activity groups in almost every municipality, and members join through a local martta association. The organisation works for responsible, environmentally friendly food and offers household counselling in Finland and in developing countries.
Courses and events run year-round, including online courses and the Martta-akatemia, and regional cooking schools operate in 15 cities. Members receive the Martta magazine, with recipes and articles on food, sewing and handicrafts. The Martanpuoti shop sells books and other items.
