This is a regional association for people with coeliac disease and others who need a gluten-free diet in the Uusimaa region. It shares information, peer support and practical tips for gluten-free living. Activities include gluten-free events such as cooking courses, lectures, children's events, excursions and visits.
The association was founded in 1991 as a local association and was known as Suur-Helsingin keliakiayhdistys in 1991–1996. It belongs to the national Finnish Coeliac Society, which advocates on a national level. Members receive the Gluteeniton elämä magazine five times a year and have access to the society's expert services.
