Founded in 1958, this Helsinki non-profit sends Finns to volunteer abroad and brings volunteers from other countries to Finland, for placements of 6 to 12 months. It promotes intercultural understanding, equality and peace, and is the Finnish member of an international youth exchange federation.
Placements in Asia and Oceania, Africa, Latin America and the USA run through the federation's exchange programme, and those in Europe through the European Solidarity Corps. In Finland you can become a host family or a friend to a volunteer, offer a volunteer workplace or book a school visit online. The website is in Finnish, English and Swedish.
