Founded in 1918, this non-profit association supports Navy conscripts and reservists attending refresher exercises. It runs the Upinniemi, Pansio and Naval Academy soldiers' homes, plus the MLC Hämeenmaa ship canteen. The homes provide café services, leisure activities and a place to meet family.
Staff work alongside volunteers, known as soldiers' home sisters and brothers. A mobile canteen takes services to exercises and the archipelago. The association belongs to the national federation of soldiers' home associations, and membership applications can be submitted online.
