This industry association for bakery and confectionery entrepreneurs was founded in 1900. It promotes its members' professional and economic interests and the general operating conditions of the sector, and works on collective agreements and legislation affecting the industry. It publishes Leipuri, which according to its website is the only professional magazine for the bakery and confectionery industry in Finland, and runs a service directory for the magazine on its website.
The association organises the Leipäkauppa (Bread Shop) competition and networks with industry players in Finland and abroad. Membership is open to bakery and confectionery entrepreneurs, companies and individuals in the sector. The office is in the Huolintatalo building.
