Created in 1963 by sculptor Raimo Utriainen (1927–1994), the work is made of industrial steel. Its clean Constructivist forms reflect the rational modernism of the 1960s.
Installed in 1965, the sculpture sits at second-floor level on the gable of the former KOP bank building. It is included in the public sculpture and memorial collection presented on the city museum's website.
