Salmon has been cooked over an open fire at this same spot for almost 50 years. The restaurant is a hut where salmon is prepared over the flames, and the menu is built on Lappish ingredients, wild herbs and berries from Finnish Lapland. The signature dish is traditional open fire salmon with rieska flatbread and herb cream cheese. Other dishes include salmon soup and Lappish squeaky cheese with cloudberry jam, and non-alcoholic drinks include traditional mummon mehu berry juice and a non-alcoholic glögi. Gluten-free, lactose-free and milk-free options are available on request for some dishes.
Table reservations are not taken. The bus stops are about 150 metres away on foot. Seating and parking are wheelchair accessible, but the entrance and toilet are not, and there is no hearing loop.
