The restaurant specialises in salmon roasted slowly over an open fire in the traditional Lappish way. The signature dish is open-fire salmon served with Finnish salad and warm bread, and guests can watch it cook over the flame. The menu also includes Lappish cheese with homemade cloudberry jam, a cake of the day, and warm drinks such as Lappish coffee, glögi and hot berry juice.
Natural timber walls and shared tables make it a gathering place. It has operated for more than a decade and serves travellers from around the world. It is walk-in only and does not take table reservations. It stands in Santa Claus Village by a roundabout and parking area. The seating, car park and entrance are wheelchair accessible.
