Founded in 1981, this crossword enthusiasts' association welcomes solvers and compilers without an entrance test. Its approximately 850 members can join monthly local club meetings, a summer gathering and crossword and cryptic puzzle championships held every other year.
The members' magazine appears four times a year and is not sold commercially. Its crossword academy teaches solving and compiling remotely and in person. Activities also include library exhibitions, a school competition and an online shop.
