Founded in 1969, this City of Tampere comprehensive school describes itself as a neighbourhood school where pupils can complete their entire basic education. Teaching has a technology emphasis, and pupils learn to work actively, both independently and together. From 2026–2027 the lower grades are in the Kaukajärvi and Annala buildings and the upper grades in temporary premises at Konetalo.
Families and staff keep in touch through Wilma, and holiday dates are published on the website, which is in Finnish and English with a read-aloud function. The entrance is wheelchair accessible.
